Well todays trip takes us up to Chantilly VA for the CSA Show (Chantilly Sports Card/ Memorabilia Show). It was a long two days but it was very eventful! With 2 autographed items, trade night, and so many dollar box finds.
I travelled down to Ryan's house on Friday afternoon and spent some time with him and my little cousin, I stayed there with him for the night so we could prepare ourselves for the long weekend ahead of us two. We both set alarms for 5:00 AM and left the house around 5:30ish. Day 1: So this started our journey, me and my uncle traveled up to Chantilly early Saturday morning around 6:00 AM in the morning. After a long 2 hour drive we finally got there it was time to go inside and look for some fun! I started the day off with getting a Autograph ticket for Luther Burden III for my Full Sized Helmet I got lucky number 3 and an inscription ticket number 1. He is one of the Bears 2025 NFL Draft Picks, so this begins my in-person Bears Autographs. But the rest of that is for later on in the post. Now onto the Adventure of finding a HOF Baseball. First we started looking around the entire building for a Hall-of-Fame Baseball for my uncles befriend who recently had open heart surgery and wasn't able to make it up to the show that weekend so we surprised him with a Chipper Jones signed baseball and we got Chipper to make my uncles friend a video to get better soon and that chipper wished he was there with us. Which was very kind of Chipper to do so for him. Now onto the boxes, we started by moving from the left side of the show and slowly made our way to the right. We found the first deal of the day at our first booth and found me a couple of good Bears cards for the Collection, while Ryan found him some cards for his collection, we both had our binders out looking though them to see if we needed the cards. Of course I forgot to print off my Justin Fields Checklist so I was scrolling on my phone looking to see if I needed the fields cards I was pulling out. And sure enough I needed every single one, it was like a field day for me finding cards I need of him. Of course it was his Bears cards and I only found 1 Steelers card of him the entire time. After that booth we carried on around the show and stopped at most of the tables looking for cards for our collections. I made a deal with a guy for a 2021 Optic Football Rated Rookie Justin Fields Red Mojo, I got it for 15 dollars with a little negotiation. That card will be going to a great home in my collection. (I will show the card in a picture a little bit down in the post.) Ryan bought me a very nice Justin Fields /99 for my collection from one of his buddy's on whatnot so we picked that up. I found tons of other bears cards for the collection that day and after the long day of looking through the boxes it was time for the show to come to a end for the day. That night was also trade night for everyone so after the show me and Ryan decided to stay and set up our little shop at the Beckett booth in the autograph pavilion. I traded a couple cards away and sold a good amount of cards. I made a bit of money for the show the next day so I was happy to get some extra money. There were a couple of door prizes but me and Ryan didn't get a single prize, one boy won 3 times which was all the best stuff up there. After the trade night me and Ryan were hungry and could eat a horse so me and him debated on something to eat so we finally found us something to eat. A little bit after dinner we finally winded down for the night at a nice hotel near Chantilly.
Day 2: After a very needed sleep we woke up and were ready to go digging in more boxes. So we got up packed our bags and get on the road for the short 15 minute ride to CSA. We got there pretty early so we were close to the front of the line. When the doors opened everyone scrambled in and got to digging, me and Ryan on the other hand were going back to where we left off at on day 1 so we went through every box we found and pulled out some very good cards, I found some very nice bears cards in a Dollar box where me and Ryan put together a big stack of cards. Now it was time for my 1st Bears Autographed Item, so I scrambled outside and got my helmet. Me and Ryan got in line for Luther Burden III, Ryan was nice enough to take a couple of pictures for me of him signing the helmet. Shown in the Picture Below
